Making EveryDayMatters – Intimate Partner or Domestic Violence
Making EveryDayMatters – Intimate Partner Violence or Domestic Violence
The numbers may surprise you, Intimate Partner Violence or Domestic Violence affects both men and women. Men are victims of nearly 3 million physical domestic violence assaults in the USA annually, but that numbers is considered very low, due to the stigma men feel they face with reporting. 1 in 4 women experience domestic violence during her lifetime. Women ages 18-34 are at the greatest risk of becoming victims of domestic violence and more than 4 million women experience physical assault and rape by their partners. In fact 1 in 3 female homicide victims are murdered by their current or former partner every year. Victims and abusers come from all walks of life and every community (upscale residences to homeless). No one is immune from it. Making EveryDayMatter at the Arlington Pet Expo
I have had my greyhounds now for 3 years. I found out soon after adopting my first greyhound that the whole greyhound community of volunteers comes with. I volunteer regularly and have done a variety of tasks and attended several events over the last 3 years.
This year for my EveryDayMatters day I volunteered to bring an adoptable dog to the Arlington Pet Expo. It is an all-breed event with rescue groups, breeders, vendors, entertainment and anything and everything else you could think of. Continue reading Making EveryDayMatter at the Arlington Pet Expo

New Associates Dedicated to a Cause! #edm
The newest hiring classes from Evolv, Addiction Management, and VRS are hosting a donation drive to help the children in need at KVC Health Systems. As new associates, we would like to give our time and efforts back to the communities and clients we serve as an organization. Being a part of a company that believes EveryDay Matters and is not just a mantra, is a honor. The newest hiring classes would like to show the community how much Netsmart can truly contribute, not only by putting passion into the work that we do but in the acts of kindness we, as a company, actively pursue.

A nice time for reflection… Out of the Darkness Walk KC!
I think the thing that struck me the most is how sad it is that there were so many people there. The fact that there are that many people that have been impacted by suicide is heartbreaking…and some of those folks were impacted multiple times. Except for the high winds, it was a very beautiful day and the walk around the park was very serene. A nice time for reflection.
