It’s National Public Health Week!

Please join us in celebrating National Public Health Week 2016 (April 4-10) – Healthiest Nation 2030

During the first full week of April each year, APHA unites communities across the United States to celebrate National Public Health Week.  This is a time to recognize importance of public health and highlight issues that are essential to improving our nation.

To demonstrate our commitment to public health we have created a series of infographics with tips and information to inspire a healthier nation.

Taking small steps can make big changes.  Get active, go for a walk.  Did you know, adults need 2 hours and 30 minutes moderate aerobic activity (like a brisk walk) each week?  Learn more here.


Try some healthy recipes or just healthier snacks.


Reducing stress and making sure you are getting enough sleep are easy ways to improve health!   Check out these relaxation tips and our infographic below, to zap stress.


How do you stay physically active?  Keeping a pair of walking shoes at your desk, or taking the stairs instead of the elevator are easy options!


Preplanning physical activity with friends is a great way to get healthy, and involving others keeps us accountable!
