During National Suicide Prevention Week I’m sharing a post a day for awareness, encouragement and help. A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to complete my Mental Health First Aid certification.
It was a great experience, taking it with those from our intern program here at Netsmart. I am encouraged by the transparency on subjects previous generations are challenged to talk about. Regardless of where you find yourself, more of us will have need for skills like I discovered in this course, than that of a traditional first aid physical care course. Having the tools to help someone, maybe yourself, can be just as life saving.
We can make EveryDayMatter word and deed.
Here is a blog post from one of my classmates sharing insight, statistics and opportunity
