Kansas City Zoo - Sandy and Hubby

Learning Architect Sandy Mitchell is an example of one of many Netsmart associates who have relocated for their career. Sandy and her husband moved to Kansas from Vancouver, Washington, in 2015. During her search for the next step in her career Sandy considered areas in Texas, Massachusetts and Washington. The cost of living, career opportunities, quality healthcare and seasons in Kansas won her over. One of Sandy’s adult children liked the area so much, she decided to move to Kansas and join her parents, and now has a home in Overland Park, a suburb of the Kansas City metro area.

When thinking about their choice to relocate, Sandy and her husband are very happy with their decision to move to Kansas City. They’ve found a beautiful home with plenty of land where they frequently see deer roaming, and they have wonderful neighbors and many activities nearby. They have visited more than 30 parks and enjoy walking the nature trails. One of their favorite spots is Shawnee Mission Park, with the theater, lake, Frisbee golf and large off-leash dog park. With all the flight options in and out of KCI, Sandy and her family have found it easy to visit each other and also utilize technology to stay in touch.
