During week 2, the main focus was getting settled into our work flow, our groups and meeting team members. Engineering learned more details about their specific group project that they will complete for the summer and were assigned their roles. Consulting was shown more about the billing and clinical cycles. Then cloud computing worked with a microcomputer called the Raspberry Pi that was set up to work with their network testing. All in all, the three of us from our separate groups learned a lot about our individual teams but we are still working on learning the ropes. To welcome the 28 new Futures, in true Netsmart fashion, we attended an 80s themed skate party at the nearby Skate City. Although none of the Futures were born in that era, we all busted out our most bodacious outfits. Some of the most outrageous outfits included MC Hammer pants, neon leggings, and even a dudical He-Man costume. All of the Futures, their mentors, managers, and even the executives attended to give us a gnarly welcome.
We are off to a great start for our 2nd Annual Participation in KC Corporate Challenge! We are closing in on the Top 10 in our Division! With twelve events to go, our refuse to lose attitude is kicking it up a notch!

I am a brand new full time employee at Netsmart. Even though I started in January, I had been a future here for the past two summers. I have had the opportunity to work on OrderConnect during my last summer at Netsmart while completing my computer science degree at Kansas State, but this project changed the environment that I was previously used to.
